In usul al-kafi the Imams explain that if a person feels racism even a small amount, he will be raised along with the ignorant Arab (al-a'araab) at the time of Jahiliyah:

1159. 1. Imam Jafar as-Sadiq (p): The bond of faith is removed from the neck of the person who practises racism or causes racism to be practised.(B5,C123,T1)


1160. 3. Imam Jafar as-Sadiq (p): One who has the feeling of racism, even if it is as small as a grain of mustard, God will (on the Day of Judgement) resurrect him along with the ignorant Arabs who lived before the advent of Islam.(B5,C123,T3)


1161. 4 Imam Zainul Abideen (p) was requested to comment on racism.
The Imam (p): A racist is one who considers a mischievous person of his own community better than a righteous person of another community. It is not a sin to befriend people of your own community but it is a sin to help a wrong-doer of your own community on the basis of racism.(B5,C123,T4)

On the day of judgement Allah will join those who practice racial discrimination with a race in Fire

The Angels thought that Iblis was one of them. In the knowledge of Allah he was nt one of them. He let out that which wa sin his soul with racist feelings and anger saying, ‘ you have created me from fire and you have created him from clay’

H 2547, ch 119, h 7
Once Ali AS was asked about racist feelings,. He said ‘ The racist feeling that is a sin is the ine that makes a person call evil doers of his own people better than the virtuous individuals of the other people. A man’s loving his people is not racism but it is a sin to help one’s own people to commit injustice.’
