Sa'i between mount Safa and Marwa

This is performed in order to remember the torment which Hajar (ra) mother oflsmaeel went through when looking for water she was in a desperate state and ran between the two mounts seven times before the zam zam water was miraculously revealed by Allah from beneath baby Ismaeels striking feet. Taking part in this act allows us to empathise with Hajar and experience what she went through. She had ultimate trust and faith in Allah, this act teaches us that if we have faith in Allah we will receive that which we long for.
