[ 2:183] O you who believe! fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may guard (against evil).

Welcome oh Muslims to the month, in which it is compulsory upon us to fast,
Welcome to the month in which Allah’s mercy is abundant and shall forever last,
Welcome to the holiest of all months Ya Ayuh an-Naas,
Make the most use of it before, it is something of the past.
