Samara Statement

OUR CONDOLENCES TO THE MUSLIM WORLD AND TO THE IMAM OF OUR TIME IMAM AL MAHDI (ATF) ON THE MARTYRDOM OF IMAM ZAIN-EL-ABEDINE (AS)

OUR CONDOLENCE TO OUR IMAM AND THE LOVERS OF AHLE MOHAMMAD (SAWW) ON THE BOMBINGS OF THE SHRINE OF IMAM ALI AL HADI (AS) AND IMAM HASSAN AL-ASKARI (AS)

Haraka al Haidaria & Cricklewood Youth Club condemns the recent attacks in and around the shrines of the family of the Holy Prophet (saww) in Iraq. We will never forget the tragic scenes in 1991 when the Baath party attacked the Shrine of Imam Hussain (as) in Kerbala, as well as the bomb blast in Najaf 2003, the shrine of Imam Ali (as), which killed many including Ayatollah Mohammad Baqer al Hakim (ra). In the past year we witnessed the attack on the day of the Martyrdom of Imam Musa al Kadhim (as) which resulted in a major stampede and the deaths of many Muslims, the attack’s aimed at our Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his Holy Progeny escalated to the attack on the shrine of the tenth and eleventh Imams, Imam al-Hadi and Imam al-Askari.

We would like to make it clear that these attacks on the family of the Prophet are nothing new. In 1925 on 8th Shawwal, Wednesday, in the year 1345 AH (April 21, 1925), mausoleums in Jannatul al-Baqi , Madina were demolished by King Ibn Saud. In the same year, he also demolished the tombs of holy personages at Jannat al-Mualla, Makkah, where the Holy Prophet (s)'s mother, wife, grandfather and other ancestors are buried.

The whole Muslim world must unite in condemning all attacks on the Prophet and his family (saww). Did not the Prophet (saww) enjoin us to Love them and follow them for they are the Ark of Salvation. This has to be a wake up call to all Muslims, who have neglected Imam Ali al Hadi (as)  to a mere figure in twelve, who have neglected attending the mosques to remember his birth or his martyrdom. Hopefully, now we can all unite in beginning to change our ritualistic ways and actually honour all members of the Holy Household and fill the mosques in all their days of happiness and days of grief.

As Sayeda Zaineb said to Yazid in Sham,

“However hard you try, you will never be able to obliterate our love and memory from the hearts of the people.’’

It hurts us to imagine the pain of the Imam after seeing the destruction of the shrine of his father and grandfather.

Haraka Al Haidaria representatives are meeting with the different religious authorities and establishments at this tragic time. Inshallah in the near future we will inform you of the action to be taken.

We ask you to please keep the Muslim Ummah and the whole of humanity in your prayers and not to forget the power of supplication. The calamities faced by Ahle Mohammad (saw) are so tragic and we see the follower of Abo Sufyan continue their attack on Ahlul Bayt (as).

We remind the faithful to pledge support and loyalty for our Imam (atf) and recognise the reality of his movement.
